Description
Hello, we are Rachel and Lisa! We are 2 veterinary surgeons currently living in the Scottish Highlands. We are planning an adventure in South America while we take a wee career break. We want to spend a longer time really getting to know a new place and immersing ourselves in a new culture.
We both love animals (of course!) and any time outdoors. We live in a beautiful part of the world and spent as much time as we can out in nature. We care very deeply about conserving and protecting the natural world.
Rachel grew up in North Yorkshire and Lisa grew up in Dublin; we met while at university together in Edinburgh, and became best pals while working together caring for a herd of native ponies. We both love to ride and connect with our equine friends.
Rachel loves playing music - she'd love to learn any new tunes you can teach her - jumping in the sea and going on adventures with her little dog Heidi.
Lisa loves reading, paddleboarding and cuddles with her cat Marmalade.
We are both happy, outgoing people who are really looking forward to making new friends and learning new things.Interests

More details about your skills
We are both fully qualified veterinary surgeons with 2 years experience in clinical practice for farm animals, horses and pets. We also both worked at a pony trekking centre for 4 years while at university, caring for the ponies and guiding treks for the public. We are fully confident in all types of animal care, including horsemanship. Between this and farm work throughout our training, we have both picked up a fair number of manual skills -we're happy to do basic DIY, gardening, mucking out etc, as well as cooking meals, doing the dishes, and cleaning!
Lisa has worked extensively in customer service and hospitality in the past, and has an intermediate level of spanish (about B1-B2).
Rachel has worked in and led several community music projects including childrens groups.
We're easy going and love working with others and learning new skills -we're happy to get stuck in with all kinds of different work environments!Age
