Description

I'm Robin, I'm twenty and I'm Irish and Spanish. I love travelling, videography, photography, surfing, sailing, writing and the outdoors. Most importantly I love meeting new people and enjoying new experiences. I study history and political science in university. For me, life is all about stories, and I want mine to be a great adventure.

I've always been adventurous and eager to travel. I volunteered as an au pair to two children in northern Italy in Summer 2023, and made so many international friends -I visited eight countries last Summer whilst visiting those friends!
I sailed on two tall ships in September around the Iberian peninsula, and was even invited on a passage with an Uruguayan training navy ship (crazy!).
In January 2024 I volunteered on a docked ship in Bilbao doing maintenance and woodwork.
Then I travelled to Japan in February, and spent a week surfing in Fuerteventura with my university's surf club. (I love surfing now).

I'm fluent in Spanish and English, and I'm learning Italian. I'm a very open-minded, friendly person with a lot of curiosity, and I have been described as easy-going by flatmates. I live in a shared house so I can value the importance of positivity, kindness, respect and cleanliness!

The Spanish phrase 'cada persona es un mundo' (every person is a world) has always resonated with me, and I think it's a very exciting and true way of perceiving life. I'd love to share my world with you, if you share yours with me!

I'm fluent in English, Spanish and Irish. Intermediate Italian.

I'm good at working with children and adults; I completed the Camino de Santiago with a large group of 26 university students. I was the group translator, and organised a lot. I was also an au pair to 2 children in northern Italy.

I'm a Spanish tutor to students from the ages of 12 to 28. I also volunteer to teach English to refugee adults.

I volunteered to do maintenance on a wooden ship ('Atyla') in January. I'm a fast and dedicated learner. Living in a small space with other people takes a friendly character, too. :)

I've worked in a café for over a year with coworkers of all ages, working 10-hour shifts. The discipline, maturity and teamwork from this job stand by me.

I love the outdoors, and I have lots of experience hiking and camping around Ireland.

I'm quite creative; I love videography, photography and writing. I set up a small online shop where I sell my handmade jewellery.
