Greetings Workawayers!

My name is Robert Rovira; teacher, musician, artist and jack of all trades currently traveling around the world to study new cultures and learn new skills. I'm a native English speaker from New York with a BA degree from New York State University. I have been teaching English/Music professionally for 30 years.

I've worked in many diverse fields in my life and I've owned many businesses. I've lived in many countries and I've learnt a little about a lot of things, a lot about some things :-)

I'm an accomplished musician/teacher of guitar, bass and keyboards, and English language. I also have experience in the hospitality industry; waiting tables, bar-tending, cooking and general hotel work. I've worked on a few WOOF projects and I enjoy outdoor (light) work. I've worked at many hostels and B&B's around the world.

If you need help around the house I can offer some cooking carpentry, painting and general maintenance. I pretty good with computers and technical stuff as well.

I hope to share what I've learned with my future Workaway hosts and learn new things in the process.

estoy viajando por el mundo para estudiar nuevas culturas y aprender nuevas habilidades. Soy un nativo de Inglés de Nueva York.He estado enseñando Inglés / Música profesionalmente durante 30 años.

He trabajado en muchos campos diversos en mi vida y he tenido muchos negocios. He vivido en muchos países y he aprendido un poco sobre un muchas cosas, y mucho sobre algunas :-)
Soy un consumado músico/profesor de guitarra, bajo y teclados, y de lengua inglesa. También tengo experiencia en hostelería; camarero, bar, cocina y hostelería en general. He trabajado en algunos proyectos WOOF y me gusta el trabajo al aire libre (luz). He trabajado en muchos albergues de todo el mundo.

Si necesita ayuda en la casa que puedo ofrecer algo de carpintería de cocina, pintura y mantenimiento general. Soy bastante bueno con los ordenadores y cosas técnicas también.

Espero compartir lo que he aprendido con gusto :-)

Robert was our firs Workawayer and we actually didn't know what to expect. We invited him to spend one month here and organize free English lessons for group of local people. The cooperation was very good! Robert and us agreed to extend the volunteering period.

I volunteered for the seminar in the Karkonoskie mountains, spent 6 intensive days teaching Polish participants English and had a really great time. I stayed with Katazarna, Andrzej, Timon and Jonas for a week in Wroclaw and I wish I could have stayed longer. It was a great pleasure to volunteer with them and I was very lucky to have met such nice people.
