Hello! My name is Raychel, I'm a 29-year-old teacher from California. I have been traveling for the last 12 years, both solo and with friends. My two loves in life are travel and music. I write my own music and record vocals for my music and other musicians' projects! I love playing shows and singing with others. I make it a point to travel somewhere new once a year.

I have wanted to go to Australia since I was a senior in high school. I remember applying to colleges in Queensland! Since this has been a longtime dream, I've decided to go there first and am looking to stay for at least 1 1/2 months. I am looking for workaways specifically in Melbourne or Sydney. I am a pretty crafty/handy person. My dad is a maintenance man at an apartment complex, so I've helped him with some things like painting and cleaning up units. I am really open to learning any skills, such as carpentry and farming. I am an avid crocheter and am interested with all things about fibers and textiles.

In my free time, I love to take dance classes, be out in nature, go to concerts, crochet, and playing music. I have friends all over the world from past travels and I am hoping to make more as I travel along this year.

I have been a teacher for 4 years, specifically for children ages 4-11, so I possess all the skills it takes to teach young ones to read to multiplying and dividing fractions!

I am a crafty person by nature, so I have experience in interior painting and crocheting. I am also a musician, so I have experience singing and playing guitar. I have basic gardening skills from helping my dad in our backyard garden.

I have also been a dancer for 4 years and am very passionate about movement and music.

I am an avid learner though, so any new skill is really exciting to me to learn about. I would love to learn from you about the things you're an expert in or things about your country and culture!

My niche interests are Snoopy and boats! I love boats so much. I would love to spend time on a boat and learn to sail while I am traveling. I have a dog named Moolissa that I will miss dearly while I am abroad, so any workstay with a dog is a cherry on top!
