  • Description

I am currently traveling around Australia with my partner who is a carpenter in our van.

I am a happy and passionate 26 year old woman from Melbourne, Australia. I love going on adventures, learning new things, and meeting new people. My favourite things to do are camping, hiking, surfing, reading, sewing, and spending time with friends and family.

I am interested in environmental sustainability and social change. I have recently completed my Masters of Development Studies at the University of Melbourne. I have spent the past 4 years working for a charity in Melbourne that provides a non-formal holistic education program for young people to explore their passions and expand opportunities for employment and higher education.

Last year, I did a 3 month workaway in Kenya at a women’s shelter supporting them with ngo work and on the permaculture farm. I have spent 8 months living in Indonesia completing two internships focusing on children’s education and sustainability.

Throughout my Masters I have done courses in: project management and design, social impact assessment and evaluation, monitoring and evaluation, prevention of violence against women, food politics, environmental policy and gender issues in development.

I have spent the past 4 years working for a charity in Melbourne that provides a non-formal holistic education program for young people to explore their passions and expand opportunities for employment and higher education. Through this work I have developed extensive skills in stakeholder management, relationship building, program design and evaluation, and presentation and facilitation skills.

I also volunteer as the Evaluation Manager for a community organisation in Melbourne that runs preventative health and leadership education programs for high school students in low income areas.
