Description

Yay, Wing Yu is returning after 6 years!

My first Workaway experience started in 2017 during my 9-month trip in Spain which remarked a wonderful journey.

This time I’m travelling to South America and as always: I don’t “Work” but to help make my hosts’ life easier ;-)

[LANGUAGE]
Fluent: English, Mandarin and Cantonese
Intermediate: Spanish
Beginner: Portuguese

- My degree in Translation and Interpretation (English & Chinese) allows me to give PROFESSIONAL language lessons.
- Of course, lessons can be PLAYFUL too because interaction is always the key. That’s what I did with the lovely kids in Workaway families.
- Recently there’s an increase need for English speakers to learn Chinese and I’m a pro on this subject.


[YOGA, PILATES & CONSCIOUS MOVEMENTS]
Professionally I am a certificated yoga and pilates instructor. Through my teaching years I realised CONSCIOUS movement is everything and I’m more than happy to walk anyone through this. You might not like to practise yoga or pilates, but you do want to MOVE YOUR BODY BETTER, don’t you?


[CHEERFUL, ADAPTABLE, RESPONSIBLE]
- Things happen for a reason. Whether they are good or bad, I choose to face them with a SMILE.
- Cultural difference is beautiful when we start to know about how people live differently in this world, then it evolves into an art of living when ones get along well with RESPECT.
- I enjoy the sense of achievement for completing the tasks given, provided with reasonable time and good COMMUNICATION.


[WHAT ELSE?]
- Having spent my life in a city surrounded by skyscrapers, I’m looking for true experience with nature and want to learn about sustainable living.
- Not an expert in gardening but would like to get my hands on it too. I could never forget the crispiness and sweetness of freshly picked produce. They are blessings from our nature.
- I have a pair of craft hands and like to crochet. Enjoy all types of arts & crafts.
- There’re things that I’m good at and things that I’m not. After all, ATTITUDE matters. I am curious and always willing to learn.
