*** LOOKING FOR HOSTS FROM LATE MAY ***
*** MY DESTINATIONS ARE JUST AN INDICATION, OPEN TO TRYING DIFFERENT LOCATIONS AS WELL, IF LOGISTICALLY POSSIBLE***
My name is Pietro and I am bicultural, Italian and British. Born and bred in Italy, but spent the last 20 years in the UK, most of which in central London. I have had corporate jobs all my life, mainly in commercial and operational roles with B2B SaaS companies in the online gaming industry.
I have travelled quite a bit using Workaway over 10 years ago. I had positive experiences that I still cherish, but I am now ready to make more Workaway memories after a long hiatus.
I have a keen interest in simpler ways of life, in touch with the natural environment, with focus on coexistence, rather than exploitation. I am fascinated with permaculture and I'd love to learn more about it directly 'on the field'.
Here are my strengths, but keep in mind I will happily tackle any project to which I can make a decent contribution:
- RELIABILITY: I am a dependable and considerate person. My word is my bond and I firmly believe in kindness, honourability, and integrity. If you have projects that require special trustworthiness (such as house sitting), I am the man for the job.
- COOKING: I travel with my book of Neapolitan traditional recipes, plus a bunch of diverse recipes I have collated over the years. I enjoy good food and I love learning new recipes (all cuisines are welcome), as well as sharing what I know.
- LANGUAGES: I have experience in language exchanges and I am a patient but determined teacher of Italian and English. I would love to learn new languages. Spanish, Mandarin and French are on top of my list, but I'll try my hand at any language, given the chance!
- COMPUTER STUFF: quite the technical term, right?😅 By computer stuff I mean I can help with software installation & use, organizing and reporting (I am a keen Excel user), presentations, CRM, CMS, Google Workspace, etc.
- DRIVING: I have a bunch of categories, not limited to cars. I am a competent and careful driver, with experience in both right-hand side and left-hand side driving countries across four continents.
- ANIMALS: I love and respect animals. I have a special affinity with cats, but I am happy with helping and supporting any species.Interests

I'm decently smart and very dependable. I'm a quick learner. I'm good with computers. I am also a keen observer and a good problem solver. I have language swap experience, which makes me a good and patient teacher (Italian and English). I love 'slow food' and I enjoy cooking: I'll happily give a hand in the kitchen.
