Hi,

I am by profession a high school teacher of maths, and a language teacher of German and English (but my real love is in dramatic arts!).

I really enjoy the company of young people. They seem to like me, and I like them. I guess this is because I never talk down to anyone, and treat people as equals. I'm interested in ideas and love a good conversation. Of course, I'm an adult but find it easy to slip into my inner child energy and get down to the important business of play!

I get up early, do my yoga and meditation. I have a daily practice that serves to bring a positive energy to every day and allows me to express my gratitude for the gift of being alive. We face a lot of problems these days. The things that seemed solid enough when I was growing up no longer seem so solid. Cracks appear. But the sun comes up each day, the birds still sing and people are much as they have always been. The choice looks to be between fear or love and I choose to embrace a loving energy and to to refrain from judgement. I have recently committed myself to following a Buddhist path and in that I find the power of patience and acceptance, both of myself and of those around me. Recently this has been expressed in the joy of growing food. I believe there is nothing better than growing our own food, harvesting it, preparing it and eating together. From this comes trust and a more simple life.

I love language. I love conversation. I enjoy philosophy and then when I've had my fill of that, getting down to work. I find physical work very important to well-being.

I'm friendly and value good relationships very much. In fact that is the end, that is really the only thing that matters. In fact, if you are reading this, perhaps we will become friends - which would be great.
