Hi, my name is Pauline. I am a 23-year-old teacher student from Germany. I have never traveled on my own before but since I am a teacher-student for English I want to take the opportunity of traveling to an English-seaking country to improve my English skills and get to know new people, cultures, and ways of living. I am beyond excited to exchange different realities of life and be a helping hand to others. I love exploring new places, especially trying out new food spots. I am on "workaway" looking for new experiences that will help me get out of my comfort zone, improve my English skills, and grow on a personal level. My only volunteering experience so far has been being part of the buddy program of my university – the program connects local students with exchange students in order to help them get around more easily. Due to multiple internships in my studies, I have experience in working with children. I am quick to learn new things and adapt to new circumstances. I consider myself a kind-hearted, hard-working, responsible, and patient person. Although I am quite outgoing, I enjoy spending time alone. I find great joy in plant-based cooking and baking, as well as doing chores and cleaning (I find it meditating haha). I enjoy listening to music, painting, or reading a book. Being active is a part of my daily routine - I like cycling, swimming, yoga, pilates, or going on a hike.

During my eight semesters of being part of the teacher training program at my university (including five internships) and private tutoring, I have developed many skills including proficiency in communication, time management, organization, taking care of children's needs, and problem-solving. Due to my subjects being English and Mathematics, my skills in English are advanced and I am very good with numbers.

Ever since I was little, my parents had a huge garden in which I helped take care of plants and harvest fruits and vegetables. Although I don't live at my parents' house anymore, I help them with gardening whenever I am visiting my hometown.

From a young age, I helped my parents cook, do chores, and clean the house. Now that I have been living alone for years, I make it a priority to cook a plant-based meal almost every day. I am a very tidy person and cleaning regularly as well as doing chores is of utmost importance to me to feel comfortable in a home.

My first language is German, so if you are interested, I would be more than willing to help you learn the language.
