Description

I'm Jacinta (Jazz for short), 30, and planning my first trip to Australia this year on the Working Holiday Visa. My goal is to travel way that allows me to connect to communities and see plenty of the natural landscapes, spending a minimum of a few weeks in each place.
I love projects that have sustainability as a core focus, I believe that community and sustainability go hand in hand, and the more we can live peacefully with each other and nature, the better chance we all have of living on a healthy planet 🌱
As a solo traveller I also love opportunities to meet locals or fellow travellers!
I'm always diligent in whatever roles I work in, which include 8 years of hospitality, cleaner, farmhand, teaching assistant (Germany and Japan), and a couple of office roles.

I've worked on an organic farm for several months at home in the UK this year (2025) so I've learned a lot about harvesting, weeding, planting, feeding pigs and chickens, collecting eggs and working with farm machinery!

I worked as a professional freelance cleaner for Airbnb and housekeeping in hotels, as well as sous chef in cafes & residentials, barista, cashier/front desk/reception/guest services etc...pretty much anything you can think of in hospitality! As I grew up in a popular tourist seaside town

In 2019 I got my TEFL certificate (teaching English as a foreign language) and have since volunteered in Romania as an English teacher at a summer camp, and worked as an English Language Assistant in a school in Germany for 6 months

My Dad is a builder and gardener so I have some general experience of plumbing, plastering, fitting kitchens etc but nothing expert. Just know how to muck in

In winter I often work warehouse jobs for parcel/logistics companies like Amazon and DPD, I like to keep myself fairly strong and fit

I was a research assistant for a TV production company in the UK for 8 months, and assisted on other film and TV productions as a runner after my Film & TV degree. I also did a business internship in China for 3 months
