We are from an island at the bottom of the world that unfortunately doesn't encourage in depth language learning. We are interested to learn about other cultures and languages whilst we travel and are moving to Denmark later in the year so we are currently learning Danish.

I (Oliver) enjoy building things for around the house, such as a bird feeder, a 60cmx1.5m plant stand to hold several houseplants, and a small table that fits over the bathtub to hold food, drink and books. I also grew up on a farm so have a lot of 'handyman' skills and experience and are generally good at problem solving. My profession is a software engineer and I have a lot of interest in computers and programming.
I (Zoe), enjoy learning and the creative process. I owned a van in New Zealand, which helped me travel my own country, and was a great source of projects including, building a drawer for the kitchen, sewing curtains and cushions, and other smaller DIY projects. I studied architecture and I love how people influence design and vice versa, but I would love to get more involved with construction.
Back in New Zealand we had both acquired too many indoor plants, and enjoyed being parents to them. We had just started learning more about composting, gardening, and bee-keeping etc, and are interested to continue pursuing this.

What else ...
I (Oliver) enjoy going for hikes. I enjoy playing board games and video games in my spare time, watching movies and some TV. I feel good when I'm learning new things, whether it's new skills, history, different cultures, it doesn't matter as long as I'm learning. Reading both fiction and non-fiction is a nice relaxing activity for me. I love being around animals and have a lot of respect for wildlife and how nature behaves.
I (Zoe) enjoy hiking and being outside in nature and enjoy finding a lovely viewpoint. I need to move my body to feel sane. I am interested in photography and enjoy taking pictures whilst I travel, to practice, create ideas and record memories. My perfect evening involves making and sharing food and wine with friends. I am competitive and enjoy a game, we have been playing Dutch Blitz throughout our travels which is fast and adrenaline pumping.
