Description
Hello! Writing this, I am currently in the last few weeks of my Master's at Edinburgh University. I've been studying at university for the last four years, and I am looking forward to finishing!
Compared to some of my friends, I am in no rush to get a job and will be looking to explore after my graduation. I am a great lover of France, French culture and the language - although my speaking is in need of much improvement - so this is where I hope to score a workaway.
I am quite active, a good skier and I am trying to improve my surfing as well, although during the year I cycle. I have previously done a ski season and trips with the university. I am keen to learn and motivated to improve my French. Once I finish and have more time, I would like to spend time doing things that mean more to me: reading, cooking and connecting with friends that I previously haven't had as much time for.
While consumption and materialism usually aren't on my agenda, my car is one of my largest projects, and I usually end up talking about how I have converted it to run on vegetable oil - (almost) completely carbon neutral! I have mostly enjoyed my time at university and have a greater appreciation and understanding of 'problem solving'; but at the moment I think I would rather use this for myself rather than work for some huge company.
This summer, I have kept busy by working on my Master's project, although on the weekends I volunteer at a falconry centre. Something about the birds appeals to me greatly, and generally I am quite happy around animals.
Thank you for reading, and hopefully this indicates my thoughts and feelings at the moment, I look forward to speaking with you!Languages

I am keen to improve my French. Without having taken any exams since school, I cannot accurately describe my level. However, my reading and writing are intermediate as I can practice these myself. Although my speaking needs work. I have tried somewhat with apps like Tandem to find native speakers to practice with, although the speech element is still lacking. Improving my French would be a big aim for me.Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

What else ...
"This is your chance to mention any other relevant info, perhaps which board games you play or hobbies/interests that you did not talk about in your description..."
All important information is in the profile description so I can outline some less important information here:
I enjoy playing cards although have not done so recently.
On Tuesdays I go play in a pub quiz with some friends, we have done quite well and have won a few times!
I really enjoy playing table tennis, although strangely only in a relaxed setting; I dont like it as much when it becomes too competitive.
I used to play for a paintball team in national competitions, even winning a few player awards.
Currently I am reading 'The Idiot by Dostoevsky' and I think its a wonderful book. I finished 'War and Peace' earlier this year and thought that was a great book also. Some more information
