Hi! My name is Ollie and I have just graduated from a degree in natural sciences. Before I start work in February I want to travel around Europe and I am excited to see what it has to offer! I am passionate about sustainability and conservation, I really enjoy cooking (mainly vegetarian/vegan) and I absolutely love all animals, so I am hoping to integrate these interests into my Workaway. I really enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, and all things outdoors - i'll take the opportunity to be in nature whenever I can be!

Communication - I have strong listening, communication and interpersonal skills. This has enabled me to be an excellent personal tutor for many years as I have nurtured relationships with each of my students to earn their trust, motivating them to work hard at their studies
Leadership - I was on the 2022 Natural Sciences committe and University of Leeds, which helped me to develop my leadership and organisational skills. I increased participation from students in the younger years by organising socials and reaching out to offer advice on their futures as Natural Sciences students.
Problem solving - I pride myself in my ability to come up with creative solutions to any problems I face, which I have had to do numerous times as a personal tutor. Every student has had a different learning style and I have found creative ways of teaching content and engaging them during lessons. During lockdown, I adapted my lesson plans and teaching method to implement them online whilst also keeping the students engaged and ensuring continuity.
Cooking - I am a very keen home cook, potentially looking into becoming a chef in my future. I cook mainly vegetarian/vegan meals but I also cook meat from time to time. I really love cooking and I put a lot of time and effort into preparing my meals.
