Description
Hi, I am Nicky, and currently I am in England, where I am trying to settle down and to see my family more. Make new friends and experiences... but I yearn to travel, meet new cultures and share time with like minded people. Maybe here is not where I am meant to be, after all. But it can be my base, and I can still be able to see new countries and volunteer some of my time to hosts, as they request. So many places I have not visited !
Most of 2022, I have been helping at a bnb on Giglio Island, Italy over the summer months.
Previous, I was based in England, when we had lockdown. I was a full-time housekeeper and cook on a private Estate, for 18 months. On leaving the job, I worked away on Isle of Skye , Wales and Isle of Wight, as a Workaway.
I have lived some of my varied life in Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa, and spent the past 22yrs based between Italy and Greece. So a lover of both land and seas. I have alot of knowledge of Italian food, service, and management of a restaurant and now a private country property.
I speak English and Italian, a little Greek too.... in my free time, I have enjoyed knitting and sewing, but best I now enjoy photography, cooking and vegetable gardening. My other hobbies are sailing, fishing, cycling, walking and dancing.
I love to keep busy and open to any work and locations, that are available. I have residency in Italy and I hold a British passport.
I like company but also I am very capable of working alone, I like to share and learn with others. I love nature, all animals and young people. Very happy in the wild and quiet, sun, sea, mountains and the weather doesn't trouble me. I am happy to put my hands to anything, skilled or non skilled.
