Description

I’m centered, loving, and joyful, and motivated by balance, justice, and connection. I studied psychology and art during university, and I have extensive experience caring for children and families, including educational and artistic contexts. I love connecting with other people, especially young children. I live in an intentional community so I have lots of practice living with others. I’m confident in communicating with love and directness. My strong desire is to connect with people from different cultures and enjoy everyone’s unique ways of being (and of course our similarities). I’m especially interested in indigenous ways of being, and would feel super lucky to connect with that. I lived in Puerto Rico in the past and it was important to me to assimilate with humility and respect for the culture, while of course being myself. I found it so life giving to connect with the people there. I love learning languages and it’s important to me to speak the language of the place that I’m in if I can. I speak english, spanish, french, portuguese, and american sign language, and I’m always open to learning more.

I have many years of experience caring for children, people with disabilities, and families. This includes nannying, tutoring, interpreting spanish, teaching art classes, facilitating groups of children in creating art to process trauma, caring for kids in a wilderness setting, etc. Being with kids is definitely a calling for me. I plan on being a birth doula in the future, so I would welcome any opportunities to learn about birth.
I have some experience working on an organic farm, and would really love to work on more farms. I’m more interested in working with plants than animals. I love learning about and experiencing how plants heal us. I want to be in a reciprocal relationship with the earth, caring and being cared for.
