Hey everyone!
We´re Luna and Nele, two 19-years old girls from northwestern Germany. We've just passed our Abitur (A-level) exams and now we would love to explore the world before starting to study.
In our shared English Advanced course we learned to love the English language and the opportunity to communicate with people around the world that comes with it. We practiced this on our school trip to Scotland and a few private trips. Overall, we learned a lot about different cultures and countries and how amazing it is to get a view into the lives of people abroad.
Our ideal goal would be to travel to places we are interested in while working to finance our trip and making friends around the world.

Learning or teaching a language is not necessarily a goal that has to be met on our trip but we are interested in both. Being able to share your knowledge with others is always special and learning a new language could be a great possibility for us to bond with our hosts or overall people living in the city or at the place we are staying at.

What else ...
Nele:
I play volleyball in a club for 7 years now and I absolutely love it. I play the clarinet for 9 years now and I played in an orchestra. Tutoring was my first job and I tutor younger kids in German, maths or English for 5 years now. My newer jobs are writing articles for our local newspaper and being a servant in a small restaurant. A year ago I passed the Cambridge Advanced English exam, so I have the language level C1 in English. I also took French classes for 7 years. In contrast to Luna I don't speak Spanish.
Luna:
Hey, this is Luna:) I still live with my family (my parents, my younger sister and my Labrador Cooper) in Nele‘s and my hometown. Although I am a family man through and through I‘m super excited to get out, see the world and meet its people.
Next to English, I took Spanisch classes back in school for 3 years and actually had French too, but that‘s not worth talking about.
I swim on a competitive level since I am 10 years old, work as a swim trainer since I am 14 years old and own the Trainer C-license since two years. Therefore I gained experience in tutoring and especially working with younger kids. I really enjoy that and also could imagine myself helping and supporting children with learning English or German.
There‘re other skills my swimming club has taught me through club work like being organized; using several social platforms; planning training sessions, trips or workshops and most importantly working in a team.
My other passion is acting and playing theatre on stage. Unfortunately with leaving school also came leaving my longtime theatre ensemble, in which I build up my acting skills and how to present myself on stage. I truly am looking forward to share my love for acting and to show others what I learned through the years in things like performing, self confidence and using our bodies to express ourselves.
In addition, my heart beats for nature, animals and their protection. As I mentioned, I have my own dog, that I trained myself and would say, that I have an expanded knowledge about dogs and their upbringing. I also wrote my thesis in biology on a dominance-free upbringing. I would love to work on sustainable projects, help with environmental and climate protection or to rescue or care for animals. I also have some experiences with horses and have ridden before.
