  • Description

We believe life is deserving of being lived to the fullest, rather than passively experiencing it. Our lives are currently centered around prioritizing travel, achieving financial freedom, and personal growth. We are hard workers who loved to be challenged and to learn, so we are up for whatever tasks you ask of us. We are currently living in our RV, Gertie, along with our indoor cats Billie & Peanut. Since our RV is self-contained(bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, etc.) we aren't in need of lodging in your home, we just ask that we can park on your property, refill our water tank(usually once every 2 weeks), use your electricity when necessary, and do our laundry(once a week) at your home. We would love to eat with you guys and share each other's company, but at the same time, it's not a necessity since we also have our own kitchen(so there's no pressure if you guys are not feeling social). We love to play games, watch movies, enjoy nature, and have fun, so I hope we can spend our next adventure helping you!

More details about my language interests
I grew up in a bilingual household(English and Portuguese), and I'd love to improve my Portuguese because I understand practically everything, but the act of speaking is hard for me because I get shy. I also speak Spanish because I lived in Costa Rica for a year and was minoring in Spanish. I would say I'm at an intermediate level in both, but I'm better at speaking Spanish and better at understanding other people speak Portuguese. I love languages and would love to learn more as well!!

Nat: I have had many jobs throughout my life including many years in the food industry, primarily as a counter person/server. In that field, tasks included cleaning, organizing & ordering inventory, cooking, serving customers, and generally creating a pleasurable environment for all. I have also worked in real estate as an admin for signature, the most successfully real estate agency on Long Island, where I filed documents, uploaded listings, prepared important documents for processing, and maintained an orderly environment. I have been a babysitter for 10 years now for many many families, and began nannying during the pandemic. I nannied for a year for 2 different families, the first with 3 elementary aged kids, and the second with a toddler and a newborn. I adored being able to cook, teach, play with, and most importantly learn from the kids, who had so much to teach me. I have also been a dog sitter/walker for 8 years from toy dogs to 180 pound newfoundlands and saint bernards(and I love them all equally :)). Whilst traveling, I worked as an assistant preschool teacher at a Montessori style school in Texas, working with children with different developmental needs. Throughout the experience I learned so many invaluable skills including how to communicate with children with different special needs, teaching them emotional regulation, and facilitating healthy and fun relationships between the children. In Texas I also taught private sewing lessons to our workaway hosts' 6 year old daughter. In my personal life, I love to design clothing, sew, crochet, knit, read, roller-skate, graphic design, carpentry, photography and more. Cooking is a great passion of mine, especially vegetarian/vegan cooking, and I am always trying new recipes from different cultures and striving to improve my go-tos. I have a love of organization and attention to detail, always looking to keep things in an orderly manner. A jack of all trades is something I strive to be, and I'm more than happy to help with anything.

Marco: I have worked at Ben & Jerry's for 6 years, starting as a counterperson and becoming a manager. I worked closely with the owner to order inventory, create schedules, do general maintenance, and lead the team at a busy location. More recently I've started working in the accounting department on a few TV and film productions (Netflix, Showtime, Prime Video.) I started out as a clerk which involved filing, reaching out to vendors and maintaining an organized environment for my team. I've since been promoted to assistant accountant where my responsibilities have shifted to managing and tracking all credit card spending done by crew members. With this position, I communicate with all departments in order to process requests and payments. In my free time, I love to read, write, play & listen to music, cook & bake, and bird watch. Lately, we renovated our RV and repaired a lot of damaged parts, including rebuilding the upper cab, fixing delaminated fiberglass on the outside & re-doing the entire roof. Though the experience was not the most fun at the moment, I've realized my interest in handiwork/carpentry and look forward to further learning the trade.

  • What else ...

We have 2 cats, Billie & Peanut, who primarily remain indoors. We do enjoy taking them outside on harness to get fresh air and explore nature. They're super sweet and chill cats who keep to themselves and just like to play and be cozy. We love to play board games and have many in the RV including the classics like monopoly, scrabble, and risk, and some more unique ones. We also have a Nintendo switch(video game console) and love to play games on there. We always try to end our nights off with a game, in real life or digital, and with an episode of something to watch together. Currently, we're watching The Sopranos. Marco is a Star Wars fanatic and loves to immerse himself in the galaxy far far away. We love animals a lot and would love to hang out with yours/help tend to them.
