I just started a year off work to travel and volunteer to learn more about the world, different cultures, and ways of life. I like working on farms and sustainable/eco-friendly projects

There are so many wonderful things in the world that motivate me and bring me happiness! I love nature, hiking, rock climbing, traveling, trying new things, audiobooks, and music. I try and live as sustainably as possible and like to volunteer as a way to better connect and give back to the communities that I live in and visit.

In university, in addition to our engineering degrees, we both got certified as Wilderness First Responders.

Natalie:
I have some experience WWOOFing on agricultural farms in Japan and the United States and have loved every one. I studied Electrical Engineering and used to work in the Renewable energy industry as a Commissioning Manager and Construction Manager building new solar, wind, and battery storage sites. I can do some cooking too. Otherwise, I think I can follow instructions pretty well and can learn what to do along the way!

Jonathan:
Hi! 👋 As an Industrial Engineer, I've been fortunate to have worked in many different business functions. I've worked with big corporations, national nonprofits, and local student groups. Primarily, I love diving into complex processes and systems to discover opportunities for improvement!

I have some broad and specific digital skills including filmmaking, search engine optimization, graphic design, and content creation.

For a couple years after university, I volunteered full time as a public school teacher and coach in rural North Carolina. I loved this experience of working with many different students from different backgrounds and engaging with them to bring the best out of them in math and in sports.

I love playing board games and card games and I'm a fan of anime/manga and DnD. Besides the hobbies I've already listed, I also enjoy tennis, running, skiing, horseback riding, and have recently started learning Wing Chun kungfu.
