Hey y'all! My name is Madeleine, I grew up outside of Orlando, Florida. I graduated from Florida State University with a degree in environmental science and biology in May of 2023, and now I am traveling the world! I love being outside, hiking, running, backpacking, and am always down to try out something new and go on an adventure.

I've done a little bit of everything - city and backcountry, paid and volunteer, working with the elderly and children. I've spent time backpacking in rural Appalachia, and worked in social hostels in Bratislava, Slovakia and Tirana, Albania. I have worked paid positions in the States in restaurants and a retail position in an outdoors store. I love children, have three younger siblings and spent most of my teenage years babysitting. Growing up around water, I became a strong swimmer at a young age and have tried (and loved) many water sports. I love learning new things.

What else ...
I've spent time backcountry backpacking, hiking, running, canoeing/kayaking/paddle boarding, swimming, snorkeling, indoor climbing, dancing, playing softball, embroidering, reading, baking, and much more. I'd love to teach any of this or learn any new activities available to me! I have both my boating safety license and driver's license, my CPR certification, and knowledge of basic first aid.
