Meet Maddie & Molly!
A little about us...
We have been close friends for a decade now and we've always loved planning and going on adventures together. Maddie and I met in high school where we were theatre buddies and since then have done camp counselling and tag teamed several petsitting jobs this past summer. We have always dreamed of travelling and living together, so we are very excited to have an opportunity to do a workaday!
We work very well together, finding a good balance between work and play; always cheering each other on and keeping each other motivated to pursue our dreams. We've been inseparable for so long people still get us mixed up!
Meet Molly:
I recently graduated from Concordia University's Communications Studies Program where I picked up an interested in sound design which strengthened my love of filmmaking. I am eager to pursue a career in sound design AFTER I get the travel bug out of my system ;)
I am currently located in Montreal, where I work two jobs and live with roommates. I work as a nanny for a 1 year-old girl which I cherish very much and I also work as a venue manager for an improv / dance studio. I've always loved being a part of live performance communities, so being able to watch improv shows every week fills my cup.
I grew up in Vancouver, BC before deciding to move away from home at 18 to live in Montreal to work and study. Moving so young forced me to become an adult fast, which has given me autonomy and self-sufficiency. I have always been known to work hard and always maintain a positive attitude!
I have a deep passion of all things art, as I also run a tattoo and drawing Instagram account where I showcase my tattoo art, drawings, and I'm even starting comic strips. I've worked previously as a landscaper, and love being outside! Other than that I LOVE music, writing, collaging, zine making, and theatre.
Meet Maddie:
I am a recent Computer Science graduate, and I'm excited to explore and work in New Zealand before diving into post-grad work. I've always loved working with kids, starting as a babysitter when I Was 12, and have been involved in various roles since. I spent 11 amazing years doing circus, both performing and coaching, and I've worked as a camp cousellor in Canada.
New Zealand already holds a special place in my heart. After finishing high school, I lived in Whanganui for 9 months, working as an outdoor educator at Camp Raukawa. There, I embraced rural life - pulling thistles, weeding, caring for lambs and chickens - and gained a deep appreciation for the Kiwi lifestyle.
We are looking forward to contributing our energy, creativity, and love for the outdoors while soaking in the beauty and adventure New Zealand has to offer!
