Hi, I'm Mi Jo!
Born and raised in the Caribbean to Japanese and British parents, I now find my home in France. I am eager to improve my French, meet locals, and learn a skill or two!
I am a cycling guide for an American company during the summer and use my winters to do some of my favorite things: travel, cook, garden, paint, and hike.

My skills are mainly based on language and bike mechanics.
Through my travels, I have had experience teaching English in Japan as well as learning Japanese through my mother. Living in France has given me the basics, and although shy to practice, I would love language exchange (especially with kids)!
Skills that I have learned outside of school are from working in the tourist cycling industry, being part of an organic community garden, and pet-sitting my parent's goats, rabbits, and ducks.
I now appreciate homegrown vegetables, supporting local businesses, and building community.
Truthfully, I would love to have language exchanges and learn a skill or two about anything related to construction and renovation.

What else ...
My dream is to buy a home in France and renovate it. Before that, I would love to improve my French with a few slang words, learn all the endless tasks of being a homeowner, and be better at picking wall paint and using a screwdriver.
I have always been told that I am easygoing, love food and cooking, curious to learn from others, and have fun adventures!
Language exchange, making new friends, and learning skills is what this experience is all about for me.
