Hey there! My name is Miriam and I am super excited to contribute everything I can to your Workaway and share your culture with you in a respectful and curious manner.
In a Workaway, I am looking to have interesting conversations and connect with the homegrown community in the places I travel. I am looking to gain more experience in gardening, painting and cooking.
I have completed three Workaway's since 2017; two months in Guatemala, a week in Nova Scotia, and a week in North Carolina. I am very excited to get back into traveling with Workaway and taking in everything I can from these experiences.
I live in New York City and I am looking to travel to London in December and various places in Europe in January.
I have extensive experience with childcare, nannying, and tutoring, as well. I am fluent in Spanish and just earned my Master's degree in Spanish from Middlebury College. I can sing, play the guitar, piano, and violin, and I absolutely love being outside, gardening, cooking, canning, and painting. I am pretty much up for helping with anything I can.
My only restriction is that I am a vegetarian. Can't wait to meet you!

I am very passionate about languages and speak fluent Spanish, conversational French, and conversational Catalan. My native bilingual language is Farsi (Persian), although I speak it with mild proficiency. I play the guitar, piano, and tin whistle. I have recently discovered 35mm film photography and love charcoal sketching, writing short stories, and reading. I can knit and sew pretty well and am familiar with computers.
