Hello. I'm Mikiyo from Japan.

I have lived in Japan ever since I was born.
One day, I wanted to change my values and planned a trip.

I want to make friends from different countries and talk about different cultures.
The reason I do Workaway is because I want the opportunity to stay with people in different cultures.

I love animals and nature.
I also really like exercises as well.

I usually stretch and walk.
When I was in Japan,I learned tap dancing.
So I'm confident with my physical strength.

I can't speak English fluently, but I can have a daily conversation.
I'd like to make friends who are from different countries and talk about different cultures.
So, I'm studying English hard.

Miki was a fantastic guest and has become a friend of the family. She helped out with the kids, cooked lovely Japanese dinners, and helped out around the house. She is also excellent at working outside and loves to chop wood and helped cutting trees and general cleaning of the garden.

We hope to see Miki again and thank you for visiting us! ☺️

This was my first Workaway experience in Sweden! From the moment I met Rakel, she felt like family.
She was so kind,and I was able to spend a wonderfully relaxing time. She took me to many Swedish churches,giving me such a memorable experience. I absolutely love her singing voice.
I feel that this is the start of a long lasting connection!

I stayed with Lotte and Bertil for a week! It was such an enriching week that it felt much longer.Taking care of the garden wasn't difficult at all, and I really enjoyed our FIKA breaks in between. They took me to so many places,the lake,the sea,a concert,hiking,every experience was amazing .I feel truly lucky to visiting again next year.
