Hello! I'm Marta, I'm joining Workaway to travel differently and get inspiration from sustainable projects worldwide. I've lived many years outside my home country, traveling and working. I am a scientist, photographer, passionate climber, and enthusiastic sailor. Recently, I finished a long PhD project on renewable energy and sustainability, and I am taking some months off to sail the Mediterranean Sea on a sailing boat and also travel to get to know sustainability projects and ideas worldwide. I am easygoing, social, and independent. I have some experience gardening and in permaculture agriculture, as well as woodworking, mechanics, and electrics (I renovated an old Volkswagen van and a sailing boat). I like to cook for friends, I enjoy meals together around a nice conversation, spending time in nature, reading and writing poems, and looking at the stars. Through Workaway I'd love to meet other passionate people, feel useful in their projects, and collaborate, getting inspiration from other people's projects.
