Hola,
I’m Maria, 22 years old, from Germany and I'm an occupational therapist (OT).

I love to travel, cook & eat good food and be around people🌮☀️ As well as listening and dancing to some good music🎶

I want to go to a few countries in South America. Currently in Chile on the move to maybe Argentina or Uruguay! I want to improve my spanish skills, experience the culture & nature and connect with people 🌎

I will take a gap year until I start working full time as an OT. I’m looking forward to work in a family, school or something similar where I can work with kids like babysitting or teaching. If I could work in some therapy-related place it would be even better!

I got to improve my spanish skills a lot since I started my journey in Colombia. I But I still want to improve it to get more fluent! I’m fluent in German and English. If someone is looking for language exchange, I will be more than happy to teach you! (I also know Latin, but probably nobody wants to learn that haha)

In my gap year I would like to work with kids like teaching or babysitting. I'm also able to help with cooking, chores, taking care of animals,...

Work experience:
During my 3 year apprenticeship (German “Ausbildung”) as an occupational therapist(OT), I’ve experience in working at hospitals, schools for special education, psychiatry, nursing home and different types of rehabilitation.
I worked with with kids, elderly people (also with dementia), people with different types of diseases and disabilities and in general with all kinds of people!

Besides my work as an OT I have work experience in restaurants, tourism (hostel at the bar) and at a gas station.

Language Skills:
I’m fluent in German and English🇩🇪🇺🇸. I lived one year(2018/2019) in the United States, went there to high school and got to improve my English skills.
If someone is looking for language exchange, I will be more than happy to teach you!
During my time here my Spanish improved pretty much as well!

In my free time I love to cook, hang out with my family and friends, play soccer, volleyball or basketball. I like to paint and draw. If possible I would love to improve my cooking and dancing skills!👩🏻‍🍳💃🏻
