  • Description

    Hello, I'm Margaux 😊

I'm French, 23 years old, and I come from Saint-Étienne, near Lyon. I'm just finishing my studies. I have a master's degree in event management. I've been in Montreal, Canada, on an end-of-studies internship since February.
    I’m available from August 31st.

This internship has been an extremely enriching experience. It gave me the opportunity to learn an enormous amount about Canada, in terms of culture, activities and environment. That's why I now want to get out and visit these places!

For the moment, I don't have any projects in France waiting for me, and being already here in Canada, I thought this was the best opportunity to extend my stay before returning home.

I really want to explore Western Canada, especially the Rockies, Vancouver and Vancouver Island. This region is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and wilderness. For me, discovering these places would be a unique opportunity to live unforgettable experiences and soak up even more of Canada's richness and diversity.

Given my limited budget, I've found that volunteering represents an excellent opportunity to reconcile economy and service. Going away as a volunteer will not only enable me to make a significant contribution to a cause, it will also provide me with enriching experiences. I'll be going off on my own, which will give me the chance to meet new people and forge links.
Being sociable by nature, I'm looking forward to interacting with locals and other volunteers. What's more, this stay will also be a valuable opportunity to perfect my English even further!

At my age, I feel a strong desire to live incredible experiences and embark on unforgettable adventures. Having almost finished my studies, I find myself a little lost, not yet clear about what I want to do with my life. It's both an exciting and worrying time, and this uncertainty drives me to look for ways to open myself up to the world.

I really want to discover new cultures, meet inspiring people and experience powerful moments that will mark this period of my life. Helping others makes me deeply happy, and I'm convinced that volunteering will enable me not only to make a positive contribution, but also to grow personally by exploring as yet unknown horizons.

    My profile:

I'm a relax person who tries to live day by day. I'm said to be sociable and smiley by nature. I love spending time with my friends, going out, eating, and enjoying the life! For me, travel is a very important part of my life. It all started with my first Erasmus experience in Vilnius, Lithuania, where I was able to travel for 10 months and explore several European cities. Since then, I've had a thirst for discovering new countries and cultures.

I love nature, hiking in the mountains and backpacking. It's something I did a lot of with my parents, and I'd like to do even more of it now, because with my studies I haven't really had the time.

I'd love to meet other travellers like me, form a small group, talk, have a laugh and discover new things together! :))

Do not hesitate to contact me :)

  • More details about your skills

During my student life, I had the opportunity to accumulate a wide range of professional experience. I started out in the technical services department of a town hall, where I was involved in numerous tasks linked to town maintenance, such as lawn mowing, weeding, painting, raking leaves and installing structures.

At the same time, I've worked in a variety of jobs, including refreshment stands and a fast-food restaurant in my small town, as well as in factories. I've also held several positions as a hostess, which has enabled me to develop my hospitality and service skills.

My experience also includes preparing breakfasts and washing dishes in a hotel, as well as sales missions as a sales assistant. I've taken part in volunteer missions at festivals, including here in Montreal, which has enabled me to contribute to cultural events while meeting interesting people.

Finally, I regularly help my grandmother in the summer in her vegetable garden, picking vegetables and tending the garden she loves so much. I have also babysat for my former neighbors, which has enabled me to acquire childcare and responsibility skills.

These varied experiences have not only enriched me professionally, but have also contributed to my personal development.

  • What else ...

I'd love to work on a ranch / farm / large family home to immerse myself in a daily life totally apart from the urban city. Being connected with nature is what I'm looking for, and I want to help guests in their daily lives by doing all sorts of tasks. Helping in the vegetable garden, painting, looking after animals... I also want to learn new things that I don't necessarily know. I'm really motivated and looking forward to this experience.
