Hiya! Katie here. I'm a Tassie girl and a greenie through & through. Crazy about environmentalism, social justice, travel, love, exploration of the self and experiencing the wonderful world we live in. I'm particularly interested in projects with a permaculture and/or sustainability focus so I can continue learning about ecosystems and ethical consumption.

More details about your skills
I’ve engaged in a lot of mutual aid and work exchanges over the years, primarily helping with household chores, pet care, childcare and gardening work.
I’ve also accumulated organising skills from working in grassroots spaces - planning and promoting events, facilitating meetings, making posters and newsletters, updating social media profiles, managing volunteers, fundraising, public speaking, making merchandise, engaging stakeholders and conflict resolution.Age

What else ...
I am halfway through a Bachelor of Science majoring in Sustainability, but have paused my university studies to travel for the year of 2025. I have volunteered in grassroots spaces, primarily with an environmental focus, since 2017. In more recent years I’ve also been involved in grassroots efforts with a food security and human rights focus. I also spent 2 years working as the office and outreach coordinator at the Wilderness Society Launceston Campaign Centre in Tasmania, which involved writing a weekly newsletter, facilitating weekly volunteer meetings, organising events (both indoor and outdoor, and with a variety of stakeholders), running the shopfront and completing any administrative tasks required, including meeting WHS standards.
