  • Description

Hello, hosts and fellow Workawayers! My name is Eunha (Luna) from Korea.

I’m here on Workaway to immerse myself in different lifestyles, especially those centered around off-grid, sustainable, and eco-friendly living. In Korea, I didn’t have many opportunities to explore these areas, so I’m excited to learn as much as possible during my travels in Europe.

I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s farming, gardening, hiking, or running. I’m a fast learner and proactive in dynamic work environments. My previous employers and colleagues have always appreciated my strong work ethic and positive attitude.

I’m also a self-aware person, which helps me care deeply for others, animals, and the environment. I practice daily meditation, allowing me to reflect, stay true to myself, and live fully in the present.

“Here and Now” is my personal motto. I strive to be mindful in my actions and choices, embracing things as they come. This approach helps me cultivate inner peace.

My long-term goal is to build a retreat in the southern region of Korea, where I can host individuals seeking inner peace from the hectic pace of city life. I want to guide them toward a simpler, more mindful, and accepting way of living—principles I also strive to practice. I’m also a Level 3 meditation coach, which allows me to share these practices with others.

I have previous Workaway experience from my time in New Zealand, where I stayed with a Māori family in Kerikeri on the North Island for three weeks. I helped them around their home and property, as the host was in a wheelchair. Our main project was transforming a shipping container into a warehouse or woodworking studio. We thoroughly cleaned it, painted both the interior and exterior, and built shelves. I also assisted with gardening, tidying, pruning, and general housework. We shared our cultures and family stories, making it a deeply rewarding experience.

Now that I’m traveling again, I’m eager to continue helping others while learning about new countries and cultures. I look forward to sharing these experiences with you!

    Thank you,
    Luna (Eunha)

More details about my language interests
Learning a new language is like opening the door to a whole new world. It allows me to explore different cultures, understand their histories, and see the connections between them. Since I’ve been in Spain for over a month, I’ve become passionate about improving my Spanish. I practice every day using Duolingo and with the help of my friends.

    Gardening:
I’ve had experience working on a kiwifruit farm and vineyard, where I enjoyed watering and caring for the plants. Gardening is something I genuinely love, and I find it rewarding to nurture and watch plants grow.

    Animal Care:
I have a dog named Nokdu (which means green beans in Korean), and I love spending time with her—walking in the woods, playing together, and just being silly. I’m also a big cat lover. I’ve often stayed with friends who have cats, helping with feeding, cleaning litter boxes, and, of course, trying to win over street cats whenever I see them! In 2018, I worked as a milker in New Zealand for four months. I not only became skilled at milking but also enjoyed spending time with the cows—taking them to the field and feeding the calves. I’d love to gain more experience working with different animals!

    Content Creation:
I manage my own Instagram and YouTube channels, where I document my travels and outdoor adventures. I handle everything from planning and scripting to shooting and editing, all on my own. Creating videos and content is another passion of mine, as it allows me to share my experiences with friends, family, and a broader audience, inspiring others to travel and seek adventure.

If you need a video to promote your hosting or anything else, I’d be happy to help create one! I can also teach you how to use Instagram and create content.

  • What else ...

I recently completed the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, taking the French Way (800 km). I even added an extra 120 km, covering a total of about 920 km in 38 days (July 2024). I walked and occasionally ran the entire route. It still feels surreal that I finished the Camino, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking inner peace.

As a trail runner, my longest race so far was 65 km with over 3,000 meters of ascent, which took more than 10 hours to complete. I’ve also participated in numerous trail races, mostly in the 50 km division. I love being in the woods, moving freely, and challenging myself. One day, I hope to go to Chamonix to participate in the UTMB (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc).
