My fiancé Sophie and I love to travel and exchange stories with people we meet. This year we decided to quit our jobs and buy two bikes so we could travel the world. Our aim is to reach Japan (from the UK). Aside from this Sophie loves animals, history and literature, while I enjoy mountain leading and just generally, the wilderness.

We both have tech-savvy backgrounds with a balance of practical skills as well. I was a design manager in the UK working in construction and before that I worked in many different roles, from waitering and carpentry to lifeguarding and go-kart marshalling! I also used to create woodworking projects for magazines and this is something I enjoy.

Sophie began work in editorial writing and sub editing for magazines in the UK across lots of different titles, then embarked on a career in marketing and e-commerce with interior brands. She now also works occasionally in social media and as a freelance writer when we have time during our travels. Aside from this, she has skills in sewing and wheel-throwing pottery, and she would love to try her hand at foraging and natural fabric dyeing.
