Hey,
we are Marie and Lukas, a young couple with a deep desire to travel. We want to collect as many wholesome memories together with new people all around the world. With the people there comes the culture. We are very open-minded and want to connect more with nature and ourselves in our free time. We love to dance and go on festivals. But we also can strengthen our arms and put in some work. We love music, animals and new surroundings. We are newbies in backpacking but we would like to get teached how to travel on a low budget and on a low impact for the climate.

We are both multi-talented persons and what we lack in experience we make up with motivation.
Last year (in 2024) we helped renovating a house, through which we have some experience in reparation and renovation. While Lukas is a structured, introvert type and likes to cook, Marie is more of a crafty type and quite extrovert, sometimes chaotic kinda type. We complement each other really good, e.g. Marie has a lot of ideas and ambitions and Lukas is good with putting them into order.
We are eager to learn a lot of new things mainly focused on permaculture and gardening, house-renovations and building, self-sustainability as well as the fine differences of cultures all around the world.
Lukas is doing his Bachelors in cultural anthropology and Marie is on the verge of completing her A-levels.
We are both fluent in English, German (native language) and have tiny little experience in french (whats left from school yk). We are both non-smoker and drink alcohol only on rare occasions around once a month.
Through workaway we are looking forward to learn a lot about culture, friendship, ourselves and the world.

Lukas has a special passion for music—he plays the saxophone, a bit of guitar and drums, and even enjoys DJing. He’s also drawn to all things computer-related, from software to hardware. Being more introverted, he thrives in calm environments and appreciates intimate conversations in small groups.
Marie is passionate about books, art, and especially theatre;She has been playing and performing a lot a few years ago. True to her extroverted nature, she loves meeting new people and attending events such as protests or workshops. One of her favorite hobbies is solving puzzles, and she’s recently begun gardening in her small backyard as a step toward self-sustainability.
Both of us enjoy engaging in deep conversations and are active members of the LGBTQI+ community, advocating for feminism and self-empowerment. Further we are actively engaged protesting against climate pollution, capitalism and injustice in general.
We also share a love for slow sports like swimming and yoga—activities that help us slow down and find peace in the midst of a hectic day.
