It’s Kat and Luke! We are a couple from the Midwest region of the US. We both recently graduated from school and are both motivated to travel to experience the world in a new way. Kat spends most of her time creating art and caring for others. Luke enjoys serving others in whatever way is needed. Additionally, we are hoping to build our Spanish skills.

Kat is proficient in Spanish after spending a semester abroad in Spain. Luke has limited speaking skills, but took Spanish classes for 6 years. We would love to practice our Spanish. We are both native English speakers and have experience teaching and tutoring.

We would provide a wide variety of skills to any host! Kat excels as a creative. She loves to create, whether that's through painting or photography, and has professional experience running social media pages. Kat also loves caring for animals (except for snakes) and people of all ages. Luke shares this love and has grown up babysitting for neighbors and volunteered in a variety of classroom environments. Luke also has a college degree in IT with a variety of experience assisting all ages with computers. Additionally, Luke has built and maintained a couple of small city gardens. All in all, we would love to expand on our experiences and skills to meet the needs of any host!

What else ...

Kat is interested in fashion, theater—especially musicals!!!—and being involved in the LGBTQ community. She’s always wanted to paint a mural! Kat also loves food and is always open to new cuisine. Luke is interested in music, gardening, politics, and enjoying nature. We both enjoy playing board games and card games. Luke’s family grew up playing cribbage—a Midwestern card game.
