Hi, I’m Lora :) I’m 20 years old and currently doing my first year at university in Maastricht, Netherlands. Besides studying, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, snowboarding, horse riding, going on walks with my dog (with my cat following behind), exploring new places and trying out new activities. In between studies, I try to travel whenever an opportunity arises. I love discovering new cultures, lifestyles and meeting new people. Even though I can appear introverted in the beginning, I open up and become extroverted when getting to know others. I would love to do volunteering and getting this new experience started!

With fluency in Luxembourgish, German, French, and English, I possess strong multilingual communication skills that allow me to adapt seamlessly to diverse environments. My work experience is also versatile, ranging from gardening for the municipality (July 2024) to providing German language support courses (Aug – Dec 2023). Additionally, my roles in sales, animation, and product presentation at Luxlait Expansion S.A. (Aug 2021 & 2022) have strengthened my ability to engage with customers and present products effectively. My passion for animals is evident in my three years of volunteering at a cat shelter (2019-2022), where I cared for sick and abandoned cats, ensuring their well-being through feeding, cleaning, and companionship. Furthermore, my experience in babysitting and dog walking has equipped me with patience and responsibility. Academically, I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International Business at Maastricht University (from Sep 2024) after obtaining my High School Diploma from Athénée de Luxembourg (Jun 2024), with a specialization in Humanities and Social Sciences – Political Science. I also participated in an international exchange program at Father Lopez Catholic High School in Florida (Aug – Dec 2020), broadening my global perspective.Additionally, I have a background in horse riding, a skill I developed as a child and continue to enjoy through occasional rides in different locations, allowing me to stay connected to my passion for animals and the outdoors. My diverse background showcases adaptability, responsibility, and a passion for learning and engaging with people and animals alike.
