I grew up hiking in the Germany Alps and going on sailing trips around Italy. I have always enjoyed nature, if reading a good book with a great view or dashing over the waves on a catamaran. My newest passion (since getting my license) are roadtrips to the more remote places of Europe and - hopefully sometime - the world.
If asked about actual hobbies though the following would probably be my list:
- Traveling (especially Hiking- and Campingtrips)
- Yoga
- Swimming and Sailing (even though all Watersports are awesome!)
- Reading, music and dancing
I am also very passionate about learning new languages :)

General Skills:
I am very comfortable working in teams and used to basic tasks around the house, since I have been living on my own for four years now. Stressful situations and spontaneous challenges are nothing I am uncomfortable with, since my schedule for the last years have been packed with my studies, two part-time jobs and volunteer work.

Work experience:
For the past three years I have been working in public participation, education (private tutoring lessons for natural sciences and languages to children between 12 and 19) and in hospitality ( with a little sailing club in Hungary and a watersport travel company in Italy).

In my work in public participation my tasks were mainly the following:
- Responsibilities in hospitality: Welcoming, attending to various participants' needs, organizing accomodation, coordinating set-up and catering, occasional manning of the bar
- Data-Analysis : Statistical and descriptive analysis of meta-data (analogue to my Degree in Political Science)
- Conceptualizing participation formats

Teaching children, the following was important:
- Punctuality and dependability
- Time management and the ability to adapt to different schedules
- Pedagogic skills

My Summer-Jobs in Hospitality in Italy and Hungary consisted of these tasks:
- Leading excursions on bike or catamaran and snorkel tours
- Manning a surf and sail rental
- Welcoming and attending guests
- Lifeguarding

Voluntary and charity work:
For some years now I have been an active part of the volunteer staff for a student exchange organization. Therefore I am very used to be in contact with people from all over the world. In addition to that I have been a Scout Leader for some time now. Up to now my experiences volunteering with workaway have been limited but positive through and through. My position this summer in Hungary (helping out in a children's summer sailing camp) was organized through Workaway.
