Hi there!
My name is Lisa, and I’m a 24-year-old design student from Germany with a passion for animals, nature, and creative projects.
I first tried Workaway in 2019 and 2020 and spent several months exploring different European countries, mainly helping my hosts with animal care and various tasks around the house and farm. Most recently, in 2023, I traveled to Iceland. Every Workaway stay has been a unique adventure, filled with great memories, lovely people and animals, and lots of learning.
Besides studying, I work as a wedding and pet photographer, and I definitely take my camera gear with me while traveling.
I also work at a large equestrian center, where I handle a variety of tasks, from feeding and grooming horses to maintaining the stables and facility.
I have a close connection to animals, having grown up with horses, dogs, and other animals. My mother currently has two dogs (Jari & Mila) and we also have a horse (Raffi). This has made me very familiar with the daily responsibilities that come with caring for animals.
In my free time, I love trying out new things, whether it’s experimenting with recipes or diving into a DIY project. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking, spending time with my horse, walking the dogs, or (even if it's rare, unfortunately) sailboarding.
In 2025, I'd love to travel through Scandinavia (this time by car) and make my way up to the Lofoten Islands. One of my dreams is to see the Northern Lights, ride or walk through a snow-covered winter wonderland, and experience the midnight sun on the Lofoten Islands.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I would love to hear from you!

Here’s a bit about what I can offer during my stay:
- Animal Care -
Growing up with horses and dogs has given me lots of experience in their care and training. I currently work in a large equestrian stable and am comfortable with tasks like feeding, grooming, cleaning, and working with horses of all temperaments. I’ve also cared for other farm animals in the past and enjoy spending time outdoors.
I am an experienced rider due to my early start with horse riding and enjoy varied work in horse training (horsemanship, liberty work, dressage, groundwork, lunging, ...).
- Farm Work and Maintenance -
I’m experienced with tasks like repairing fences, cleaning paddocks, and basic DIY projects.
- Household Help -
I’m happy to assist with cooking, baking, cleaning, or organizing.
- Photography & Design -
As a professional wedding and animal photographer, I’d love to help capture special moments, document your projects, or teach the basics of photography.
Additionally, I can also assist with a range of design tasks, including creating or updating websites in WordPress.
I’m adaptable and always eager to learn something new, whether it’s a hands-on project or finding creative solutions to challenges.Age
