New Zealand - from Aug 2025 until Aug 2026 View allDescription
Hi there! I’m someone who truly believes life is too short not to enjoy it fully. That’s not just a quote, it’s how I choose to live. I’m spontaneous, creative, technically skilled, and people often tell me I’m easy to talk to. I’m a good listener, an energetic helper, and always curious to learn something new.
Starting August 2025, I’ll be traveling through New Zealand with a working holiday visa. My goal? To explore the entire country, work in different places, meet people, and soak in as many experiences as I can.
I have work experience in hospitality and insurance, and I’ve also done volunteer work at animal rescue and help organize a major walking event in my hometown every year. I enjoy being helpful, learning fast, and bringing a positive attitude to whatever I do.
My hobbies include traveling, reading, riding my motorcycle, cooking, being creative, and spending time with friends. Whether it’s sharing stories, diving into a project, or just enjoying good company; I’m all in.
I don’t have a clear life goal (yet), but I know I want to live fully, meet people, and collect meaningful experiences along the way. Maybe that is the goal.
I’m new to Workaway, but I bring good energy, reliability, and an open mind to every opportunity. Whether it’s working in a garden, helping in a kitchen, assisting guests, or taking on a creative or technical task... I do it with care and enthusiasm.
Looking forward to connecting and hopefully creating something great together!Interests

More details about your skills
I bring a mix of practical, technical, and people-focused skills to the table.
Professionally, I’ve spent the last 12 years working in office environments, both as an advisor in the insurance industry and in the IT service department of the Dutch police. I’m tech-savvy, solution-oriented, and used to working in high-pressure situations while keeping things running smoothly.
I’ve also volunteered at animal rescue, helping care for animals in emergency situations. Every year, I volunteer at a large hiking event in my hometown, where I’ve done everything from traffic control and managing registrations to handing out medals, setting up music along the route, and even helping our event mascot get dressed! I’m basically the kind of person who jumps in wherever needed to make sure everything works.
Hands-on? Absolutely. I’ve helped renovate two homes from top to bottom: painting, flooring, kitchen work, you name it. I enjoy working with my hands and learning new skills along the way.
Languages? I speak Dutch (native) and English fluently. I also hold ITIL and Lean Green Belt certifications, so I’m trained in process improvement and efficiency, ideal when things need to be streamlined or organized well.
Overall, I’m reliable, proactive, and always excited to help out, try something new, and bring good energy to any team.Age

What else ...
I’m a big fan of board games, especially Monopoly and Catan (Settlers of Catan). I love a bit of friendly competition and great conversations around the table. I’m always curious, creative, and open to new experiences.

Allergies
I have hay fever, a cow’s milk allergy, and an allergy to animal fur (especially cats, dogs, rabbits, cows, and horses). Being around animals outside usually goes well. Indoors, it’s often fine too — as long as the space is clean and the animals don’t sitSpecial dietary requirements
I have a cow’s milk allergy, so I avoid dairy products. I’m happy to adapt and can cook for myself if needed. Other than that, I eat most foods and enjoy trying new dishes.
