Description
Kia ora (hello in Te Reo Māori), we are a couple from New Zealand currently on our 2 wheel world tour! Starting in March, we motorcycled around South East Asia and are now pedal-powering ourselves around Europe on bicycles, before we settle in the French Alps for the winter ski season.
We are friendly, easy going and adventurous and always keen to give things a go, learn new skills and develop our existing interests in sailing, horticulture, woodworking, sustainable design.
For the past 4 years at home in NZ, we have been studying and working in Wellington. During this time we designed and built a camper van which we travelled in during the summers doing labouring and horticulture work.
We are now looking for a fun volunteer experience for September in Greece or Turkey. We are open to anything, our goal is to meet people, immerse in the culture and food and learn new skills. We hope we can help!

Sam: I am a bit of a ‘jack of all trades’ and absolutely love a DIY challenge. I studied Industrial Design at university and alongside my product design knowledge I developed practical skills, so I can help with fixing and maintenance, gardening and landscaping, woodworking and any other odd jobs. A hobby of mine is repairing old vehicles (think motorbike, moped, boat, bicycle) and then taking them out on adventures. I also love photography and have my camera with me, so am happy to provide photos. I love being on the water and in my free time I enjoy free diving, spear fishing, fishing, sailing, wakeboarding and surfing.
Lily: I grew up on a sailing boat and have previously worked as an outdoor instructor in Canada and New Zealand, so I have a strong passion for leadership and the outdoors, including sailing, kayaking, hiking, skiing, camping, cycling etc. I am a keen gardener and am passionate about the environment and sustainable living practices. I studied Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies at uni, so I am always interested in meeting people from all kinds of amazing places and hearing their perspectives. I also have extensive hospitality experience, from being a barista, to hosting weddings and corporate functions.
