Description
I’m a second-year college student in Ireland, studying French and Irish. I’m currently travelling and trying to improve my French- speaking in France is very different from a classroom environment! I grew up on a farm with plenty of horses, so I’m comfortable with hands on work and I’m excited to meet new people and explore new places. I’ve never done work away before, but I have volunteered at home and I really enjoyed it! I’m happy to help in any way possible, whatever’s needed!

I study languages in university (French and Irish, specifically) so I would love an opportunity to learn French from a native speaker. Even exchanging a few words in French would be of huge benefit to me! I’ve never taught before but I would be pleased to help anyone with English or even teach them cúpla focal (a few words) to impress the locals if they decide to visit Ireland!Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

More details about your skills
Having grown up on a farm, I’m very familiar with hands on work and getting dirty, so to speak. I’m comfortable with animals and used to caring for them. I’ve volunteered before as a carer for children and I’m constantly babysitting my younger cousins. I won’t say I have any experience with gardening or horticulture but I’ve always been extremely interested in learning! Having worked in customer facing jobs for the last couple of years, I am used to working in teams and happy to jump in and lend a hand when necessary. I know how to keep a clean space and I find cleaning to be a great stress relief!

What else ...
I love to cook and bake (I was vice treasurer of my university’s baking society for two years), and I’m a huge reader. I love animals and, although I haven’t ridden since I started university, I will always have a soft spot for horses. I’m not the best at many forms of cards but my granny made sure I could play a decent game of gin rummy, and I’m happy to learn any card games any one is willing to teach!
