Hello,
My name is Ricarda I am from Germany and I'm 20 years old. In the past two month I have had the opportunity to travel around the Caribbean islands, help locals, build home gardens, connect to new people and most importantly learn new things everyday.
I just graduated high school, therefore it was time to think about my future and I was sure that I did not want to waste any time. Moreover, I wanted do something good for nature, people and myself, with regards to climate change.
Additionally, I decided to join a program in St. Vincent where I had the opportunity to build home gardens, improve my knowledge about climate change and living a healthy lifestyle, working hard with a team and living in a community with around 50 people which was a new and exciting challenge. Now I want to continue to gain more experiences regarding nature in different environments, help people and learn about cultures.
All of these new opportunities bring me joy, a sense of purpose and all in all finding out what I want to do in the future and what is important for me.
I am looking forward to everything that comes.

Since around four years I've worked in a Restaurant as a waitress where had wine tastings, education about the menu and I also had the opportunity to work as a barkeeper for a short time. There were a lot of guests from around the world therefore, I had the opportunity to improve my English skills. In order to afford the program in St. Vincent I worked in a hotel in Austria as a full time waitress. There I also had the chance to challenge my English skills because of a the guests who came from different countries.
In school I enjoyed art class, physical education, acting class and every other creative outlet since I attended a Waldorf school.
I am opened to new challenges as I am a adaptive person who likes to try out new things.

In the past I had the privilege to experience a lot of hobbies, as an example horse back riding, aerial silks, gymnastics, painting, gym classes and swimming. In my spare time I like to sing, meet with friends, bake, and paint.
I am in general a very active person who likes to try out yoga classes, beach volleyball, football and a lot of other sports.
