Description
Hello! I'm Lena, I'm 23 years old and from Germany. For the past three years I have been living in Groningen in The Netherlands to study Psychology, and just recently moved back to Germany. I'm currently in a phase where I don't really know what I want to do with my life, so I figured it might be a good idea to take a gap year to explore what I really want and also to just gain some new experiences.
Animals have always been an important part of my life, we always had cats living with us, and I started taking horse back riding lessons (mainly with Icelandic Horses) when I was 5 until around 18. Although I haven't had much riding experiences in the past few years, I would love to pick it up again!
I sometimes tend to struggle a bit with anxiety, and found that having animals around me always makes me feel more comfortable and at ease, so I'm looking for opportunities to be working with/around them :)
Other than that, I recently rediscovered my love for reading books, and I'm always happy to get some book recommendations. I also like crocheting (although I'm still practicing), yoga and pilates, and baking. I love spending time outside in nature and just observe what is happening around me :)Interests

As I mentioned before, I did horse back riding for quite some time, and with a bit of practice I should be able to ride well again. In general, as animals have always been part of my life, I know the responsibility that comes with that and take taking care of them seriously. I also have experience with cleaning horse paddocks/stables, preparing food and feeding horses etc. I don't mind working hard and getting my hands dirty, and am looking forward to learning new things:)
I might be able to teach some basic crochet skills (at least I know how to crochet wrist warmers and hats), and I would also love to to show you & improve my baking and cooking.
In terms of work, I did a voluntary social year in a rehab center for people struggling with addiction, worked at a food stance were I sold strawberries and asparagus for several years, and also did a farmstay in the US before where I mainly fed chickens and repotted plants.Age
