I am a passionate traveller! I like to learn new things, for example, learning about how the nervous system works in the body or learning a new language, which has brought me to Mexico. I like being active, whether that's hiking if I'm in the mountains or surfing and swimming if I'm by the beach. I enjoy reading. I enjoy photography and this is something I'm also wanting to learn more about as I go, there's a lot to it. I enjoy meeting people and hearing their stories. I love delicious food.

A bit more about my background, I am from New Zealand but haven't lived there full time for nearly 10 years. Most of the last 10 years I have been working in Europe, between Switzerland, Jersey, England and a bit of France and Spain too. I've been working in luxury hospitality looking after the mega wealthy (quite different to the life I lead)! 12 months ago I decided to quit my job and make some big changes. I've been able to travel and have a lot of family time with my sister, brother in law and my 4 nephews and nieces.

Eventually this has led me to Workaway. I'm currently in Mexico and I'm really wanting to increase my knowledge of Spanish and be able to practice speaking it with locals too. I'm hoping that I can find some new experiences and make some new friends through Workaway.

For the last 10 years I have been working in luxury hospitality. The majority of this time has been in luxury chalets in Switzerland. I have worked a range of positions from Assistant Chalet Manager, right up to working in the Resort Management team. I have also worked in a private household as a housekeeper. This also involved shopping, serving meals, supervising maintenance works, laundry etc. I have worked front desk reception for 4 star hotels too. I am currently an administration assistant for a travel agent in New Zealand where I work 1-2 hours a day online for her.
I have great attention to detail and a strong work ethic. I am quite happy to give most things a go!
