Hello, I am a recent university graduate who studied environmental science. I am eager to travel and experience other cultures and ways of living. I have a passion for the environment and enjoy learning new practices on how to incorporate sustainability into my everyday life. I find most of my joy in the outdoors and try to find time to spend outside whether it be hiking, camping, kayaking, or just sitting by the water. I also enjoy time with friends and family and am always up for a game of cards!

While studying at university I held two part-time jobs as a receptionist and a daycare employee. Through my work as a receptionist, I gained valuable customer service experience and learned how to communicate with people from many different backgrounds. Through my role as a daycare employee, I was able to work with children of many different ages ranging from 2-12 years old. Through this experience, I was truly able to learn the importance of patience!

I am always open to a good card game and am keen on 500 rummy- that was always the game of choice in my family growing up! I also enjoy creating art and my most recent endeavor has been embroidery; however, I enjoy sketching the most. I am a HUGE fan of music and will typically either have something playing in the background or be (attempting to) singing quietly. I enjoy seeing live music in my free time and always enjoy a chat about music!

So sorry for leaving this review so late! My experience staying in Nelson with Nicola and the girls was amazing. She had tasks to be completed written on a list which made it so easy to plan the day's work. It was a pleasure to host Lauren for just over a week. She was extremely helpful and capable with any task set including washing windows, gardening, cleaning and looking after/ walking our dog. She is respectful and conscientious and so easy to have around.
I would highly recommend Lauren to other hosts .
