Welcome to my profile!

My name is Laura and I'm from the Netherlands. I've studied and worked in the UK, the Netherlands, Sweden and France. In 2022, I went solo travelling around 15 countries in Europe, and in 2023 I travelled around 10 countries in Africa, but I haven't found a place yet where I want to settle down. I'm currently working in a ski resort in France, and before the summer season starts here, I'm visiting Guatemala and Nicaragua which I'm soo excited for!

I studied tourism for six years, so it's fair to say I have a love for travelling and am a bit of a nerd who genuinely enjoys spending full days at the library. But I'm also a a social person who's always up for a drink or any other random activity. I'm creative, positive, and always up for a good conversation. I love the outdoors, although I'm not the biggest fan of the weather in Northern Europe...

My previous Workaways have been with a safe house in Kenya and at a hostel in Cape Town. I've also spent many seasons working on resorts, as a holiday representative, receptionist, and in the kids team. I've also got social media experience from a year-long marketing internship and volunteering in the marketing team of an international student organisation.
