Hello!
My Name is Lara, I'm a 23 year old student from Germany, Bonn, who just finished her Bachelor degree in Political Science and Philosophy. My next big adventure: backpacking through South America, starting in Chile (I am so excited! :)
The last months I've spend a lot of my time sitting in a library finishing my studies, so I'm more than happy to be outside, at the sea, in the fields or the mountains traveling. In times of fast paced over tourism I would love to actually get to know the people of the countries that I visit, their habits, opinions and of course their food! I'm an openminded, communicative person who loves people and conversing. I guess, I'm a humble person, who will happily do all kinds of simple work as long as it gives me chance to meet people and discover new things.
I love reading, recently I've been reading all of Isabell Allende's novels and am now even more excited to go to Chile!
Due to my field of study I'm interested in all kinds of political and philosophical issues, especially social injustice, feminism, nature/society relations etc. After my travels I want to pursue a career in journalism or teaching.

In the past I've worked as waitress, maid and in retail, so I'm skilled for tasks like general maintenance, cleaning, cooking and working with customers.
From my one year experience as an AuPair in France and my year long involvement in scouting I have a lot of experience in working with children from the age of 2 years. I have also organized several summer camps for children as well as charitable events for the people of my community.
I speak several languages (German, English, French, Russian) and am currently learning Spanish. I have some experience in teaching English and German.
Other than that I'm a hands on person and I'm happy to help with all kinds of works, indoors as well as outdoors :)
