Description
I'm a 26 year old girl from California, born in Chile, currently living on a beautiful part of the coast in Northern NSW, Australia.

I do seasonal work on a small catamaran running charters that explore the many islands that make up the Buccaneer Archipelago and the Kimberley coast of Western Australia. It consists of mostly bush walking, ocean and freshwater swimming, wildlife spotting, and visiting Aboriginal rock art sites.

In my time off work I live and work on a block of land in subtropical rainforest. It is made up of native bush, cultivated acreage consisting of seasonal veg, fruit trees, animals, bees, and a large variety of herbal medicines. Our lifestyle/farming practices and consideration of resources grants us the gift of a harmonious and mutually beneficial relationship with the land and water-ways that surround us.

My main focus is herbal medicine cultivation and manufacturing, being a helping hand on sustainable organic farms, and participating in water sports. I have a keen interest in growing seasonal organic produce, herbal medicine cultivation and production, low waste lifestyles/closed loop systems, fermentation, natural beekeeping, freediving and sailing. My hobbies include foraging, crafting, reading, swimming and working with & learning from the land in community oriented environments.

I have experience growing food/medicines, Biodynamic farming, regenerative agriculture, raising seedlings, creating compost, worm farms, aquaponics systems, growing mushrooms, looking after animals such as goats, chickens, ducks, sheep, pigs, and bees. Additionally- bush regeneration, orchard regeneration, tree pruning, planting and harvesting, natural pest control, food processing/fermenting, making cheese, yogurt, butter, herbal medicines.

Jade and Cai stayed for 3 weeks and were amazing guests and company! I had severely injured my hand and had a cottage renovation to complete and they took over and got it finished with minimal supervision.

They also did most of the meals and everything was delicious!

Would certainly welcome them back.
