Hi! My name is Kim and I'm from the Netherlands. After having worked 10 years as a project manager in a software company I decided that I wanted to see more of the world and work with my hands, lead a more active lifestyle and be outside surrounded by nature. So now I'm traveling the world learning about new cultures, new food, new skills, new languages and most importantly getting to know new people. I'm a social & active person, I work organized and motivated. In my free time I love being in nature, hiking, yoga and reading a good book.
I'm very excited to start workaway experiences as I think it will be a great way to build community, get to know a place better by staying a bit longer and make myself useful to contribute something to the countries I'm traveling in.

My background is in business management, I have worked for 10+ years as a project manager. I have good organizational skills, communication skills & planning skills. I speak fluent Dutch and English. I understand a bit of German and am now learning Spanish.
Overall I am motivated and eager to lean new skills and am a fast learner.
In previous volunteer roles I have worked in a kitchen in Colombia, overall support in an orphanage in Kenya and for a short period also in an animal shelter in Ecuador. I believe I can bring a motivated and enthusiastic mindset and attitude to the job and can support in all kinds of different things like on a farm, gardening, social activities/support and any organizational skills required.
