Description
Hiii!
We are Kim and Sophie, we are both 18 years old and just graduated from high school (in Switzerland it's called "Matura"). Right now we are taking a gap year and are currently working. We both love to travel and explore the world. We like to visit other countries and learn a bit more about their culture and would be happy to improve our language skills. Not only that, but we are flexible, motivated and open towards new things. Therefore, workaway sounds like a great opportunity for us.
Hey everyone!
My name is Sophie. The general information about me is already mentioned in the text above, so I'm just telling you here a bit more about my hobbies and what I like to do in my free time. I'm a very creative person and I really love to try out new things in this direction, like pottery, painting etc. I also love hearing or playing music. When I was 7 years old, I started playing violin and since then I never stopped. I now also play in a small orchestra in our town, which I really love to do.
I have also been playing volleyball for the last 6 years, be it in a team or beaching with friends by the sea.
I also love to read books, mostly English books. If I read a book that I'm really invested in, I would read it in one session, even if it's in the middle of the night.
Hi, I'm Kim, and I'd like to tell you a bit about how I spend my free time. In addition to my daily duties, be it work or going to school, I play volleyball once a week. I used to go to flute lessons for 10 years, now I only play occasionally, but I still enjoy it. I am also part of the management team of an entertainment group for children. Once a week, we meet up with them and do fun activities, such as playing games or going outside. I usually spend the hour before bedtime reading, mostly German books, but I also like English books. On the weekend, I spend a lot of time with my friends. We do a lot of things together and talk about all sorts of things.
An important fact about me is that I love animals more than anything. I have a cat at home who has grown very fond of me.Interests

More details about your skills
We have worked a variety of jobs throughout the last couple of years like service jobs, working behind the cash register, in a supermarket in general, helped in a factory, and one of us completed the babysitter course.
We also like to lend a hand around the house and support our relatives, such as looking after our cousins or helping our grandparents in their household.Age

What else ...
We both are fluent in speaking German in Swiss German, as we both grew up in Switzerland. Sophie also has another mother tongue, namely Dutch. When we were 9 years old, English was added as a subject at our school. This means, that over a period of 9 years, we attended several English lessons a week. In the last four years of grammar school (in Switzerland it's called a "Gymnasium"), we have become even more involved with the English language, which means that we have acquired a high level of English. Our French skills are not as good as our English skills. The reason for this is that French lessons started two years later than English lessons. In addition, we were or are still less confronted with the French language, be it in everyday life, through social media or books. We have the basics under control and perhaps a little more, but there is still a lot of room for improvement, as we also lack colloquial language.
