  • Description

My name is Kelley and I am from Birmingham, Alabama in the U.S.

I have been an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher for more than 25 years. I am passionate about teaching English and learning other languages. I love to travel and see new places too!

I have 2 adult daughters who live in the U.S., My younger daughter is married and has a precious new baby. The other is working and enjoying her first real job. So now that both of my daughters are successfully “adulting” I am able to travel and start a new adventure.. 😊

I’m 53, but don’t let my age fool you! I still love adventure. I love working with kids, teens and adults of all ages. I consider myself an introverted extrovert. I love meeting new people and making new friends, but I also like my alone time. I’m pretty laid back and can acclimate to most any living situation.

Please reach out if you’d like to host me!

  • More details about your skills

I am a trained ESL teacher. I have a Master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). For the past 3 years I have been teaching in an elementary school working with kids in grades 3-5. But I also enjoy working with teens and adults!

I also own a language company where we teach Spanish online to adults. And, although I am not fluent in Spanish, I have taught beginner-level Spanish to students from preschool to adults.

My first degree was in Special Education for the Hearing-Impaired, so I also know some sign language. In fact, I taught my girls to sign when they were babies, and they were communicating in sign language before they could even talk! It was really amazing!
