Hello! I'm Kate from Indianapolis, Indiana. I work as an elementary school counselor and enjoy anything outdoors; playing tennis, ultimate frisbee, kayaking, backpacking, running around with my nieces and nephews and particularly gardening and landscaping. I'd like to think of myself as a flexible, friendly and hardworking person. If possible, my 2 year old 15 kg labradoodle Nala would like to join. She's in training to become a therapy dog in order to come to school with me. Ideally, I'd spend 2 weeks with a host family the first two weeks of July. Thanks for your consideration!

I have experience with the process of growing vegetables, flowers and herbs. I can mow a mean lawn and mulch until the cows come home (generally speaking). I have somewhat of a creative eye for landscaping and arranging flowers. I genuinely enjoy cleaning, cooking, and odd jobs around the house to improve the quality of a family's life. I connect well with kids while playing games, doing art projects, or everyday tasks. Teaching for nearly 8 years, I've also learned how to engage kids while teaching reading, writing, maths, science, history, mostly integrated through project work. I can help someone wishing to learn or improve their skills with tennis, basketball, volleyball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, riding a bike, or rollerblading :D
