Hello! My name is Katie and I am an adventurous, playful, and active person looking to see a bit more of the world before settling down. I just graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Environmental Engineering, meaning I am especially interested in sustainable projects and outdoor work. I am a fast learner and always up to try new things! I have a 10 year old cat named Scribbles that I will be travelling with. She is a low maintenance companion who is content as long as she is by my side.

Growing up, my family did not have the means to travel, but it has always been something I have longed to do. I believe visiting different parts of the world and meeting all kinds of people expands your perspective and appreciation for this beautiful world we live in, and using workaway to see new parts of the world and learn from unique individuals seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so! I can't wait to begin this adventure!

I am a fast learner and always the first to jump to volunteer to complete a task or project. I love manual labor and working with my hands, so yard/garden work as well as maintenance or painting are all terrific jobs for me. I have a degree in Environmental Engineering so anything related to sustainability or engineering better solutions is on par with my interests and strengths. I am always willing to learn new skills as well, so if I am given the right guidance, I am confident in my ability to complete the project to the best of my ability. I also love animals and customer service type work, so taking care of pets or farm work is right up my alley, as well as helping host guests or dealing with client interfacing to make sure visitors always have the most positive experience.
