Hi I am Katrin :)
I am german and work as an educator in an institution for people with disabilities.
In my sparetime I like reading books, making trips with my friends, travelling and doing creative stuff. My friends would describe me as an openminded, empathic and fun person to be around. I am into learning new stuff, making new experiences and getting to know a different culture and way of living.
I love working with and being around people who teach me a different view of life.
Last year me and Melli made both our wishes come true and traveled Portugal, the Azores islands and Spain together for almost 6 months. We came back home a few weeks ago and I didn't feel ready yet to get back at my job.. that's why I am currently planning some new trips.
I am starting a trip to Ireland on the 12th March and I'm currently looking for jobs, ideas of where to go and what to do. I am still very flexible about it in general. Only thing I know is that I will spent Saint Patricks Day in Dublin. Feel free to contact me if you want to join me or have some advice about Ireland.
PS: It's only me (Katrin) who is travelling to and through Ireland the next week's!
Hi! My name is Melli :)
I am also german and an educator. I work in a school as an classroom assistant who supports and assists the pupils in the class if they need any help. The children in this class have special needs and do require some help in their day to day life to do all the things they want to do and be autonomous.
Even though I love my job I would love to get out of my country and get to know different cultures, views and ways of living. In my past I´ve already traveled to other countrys and fell in love with portugal. I like the climate the simple way of living and the charisma of the people living there.
In my freetime I love going skateboarding and I also have started surfing. I love making trips, being outside and doing art projects like painting, sculpture work, etc.
My friends would describe me as open minded, simple to get along with, funny and reliable.
We both grew up with animals. Katrin grew up on a farm surrounded by sheep, chickens and dogs. So we have some experience in animal/farm care. :)Interests

As educator we worked with children ages 3 to 17 years old, with disabled grown ups and in different institutions like kindergarden, youth welfare and disabled dormitory.
Our experiences and knowledge in this topic definitely are a benefit for social works abroad. :)
Personally we are both very empathic, openminded and flexible. In our peer group we are known for our responsibility, resilience and communication skills. So we are able to learn quickly and do the work that is required :)Age

thank you for welcoming us so spontaneously. We really enjoyed our stay. We met so many lovely open-minded people and even got the chance to join the retreat at the time. Especially the sound journeys from Frank were a unique experience, we'll really take with us.
We got there when a nutrition retreat started and were… read more
